About ArtistRaised in a home that boasted bright colors and creative relatives, Jane’s painting tends toward vivid hues. She describes her work as “cottage-style” due to its free, informal nature. Common themes include flora, fauna, and rural life.
For Jane, painting started as one of many creative hobbies; such was the norm for the women in her family. But it quickly became clear that painting was unlike decoupaging lunchboxes, pouring psychedelic sand paintings, or knitting sweaters. Jane became enamored and has let the exhilaration drive her art ever since. She is primarily self-taught and has participated in studio workshop group classes with other Atlanta artists.
